Origami Fishtank
Origami Fishtank is an interactive digital installation of large paper origami shapes that are transformed into continually morphing themes and characters using video-mapped digital projections. A Kinect camera is pointed outwards, and those spectators within camera range will enter the virtual world with their ‘avatar’ appearing in the landscape. From there they can interact directly with the constantly changing digital flora that inhabit the sculptures. Hand painted watercolors, tiny human inhabitants, and schools of virtual creatures all come alive in this installation in ways that encourage interaction and exploration.
Tony Biele is a Minneapolis-based projection artist, VJ, and theatrical designer.
