Metro Transit

Ride Metro Transit to Northern Spark! Download a free pass at

PLEASE NOTE: Due to scheduled maintenance, buses will replace Blue Line and Green Line trains June 12 -14. Regular schedule and fares apply, Metro Transit ambassadors will be onsite on the Green Line to assist riders. Only the Green Line buses run 24 hours. For more information on this change, read here.

Resources for Cyclists

Cycling is a great way to cover a lot of ground and gain easy access to festival venues throughout the night. If you bike to Northern Spark, don’t forget a safety light, helmet and bike lock. Don’t have a bike? Try Nice Ride bike share. Find Nice Ride stations convenient to festival venues at A 24-hour subscription with unlimited trips (of 30 minutes or less) is only $6. Find bike racks at Minneapolis Convention Center Plaza provided with support from the City of Minneapolis. Got a flat? Find a bike pump at the Northern Spark Info Tents at Peavey Plaza, Mill City and Minneapolis Convention Center Plaza courtesy of Recovery Bike Shop.


Park near your starting point and walk, bus or bike throughout the night. Please note that Second Avenue in front of the Convention Center Plaza and West River Parkway between Portland and 11th Avenues will be closed to traffic from 12 pm on June 13 until 9 am on June 14. Construction along S 2nd Street in the Mill City zone will cause traffic delay and congestion. Plan your trip!

These parking ramps and lots are convenient to Northern Spark venues and open 24 hours.

Information Hubs

Start your art adventure at any of the nine Northern Spark Information Tents and tables marked on festival maps. Pick up the event guidebook or talk to the friendly volunteers. The four main Information Tents along West River Parkway, Convention Center Plaza, and Peavey Plaza will have first aid supplies and night-of-festival updates.
